DECC Rajouri organises Mega Job Fair; Empowers Youth with 375 Job Placements

RAJOURI, Dec 23: District Employment and Counseling Center (DECC) Rajouri orchestrated a momentous job fair- (Rozgar) Mela, in collaboration with the district administration at Dak Bungalow, here today. The event witnessed a robust turnout, with more than 850 unemployed youth converging at the venue from diverse areas of the district.
The Job fair was attended by Deputy Director Employment and Counselling Centre, Qadeer Ul Rehman and Assistant Director DECC, Muqlis Ali
The Assistant Director shared invaluable insights about the Job Fair and said that it marked the district’s seventh job fair and had garnered a significant response from both those in pursuit of employment opportunities and companies eager to provide them. “A whopping 524 vacancies were identified after a comprehensive market survey and publicized through various channels, including social and print media to attract unemployed youth to this promising job fair” he said.
An impressive 40 companies participated, meticulously selecting and shortlisting 375 candidates for diverse positions, Mukhlis Ali said. He took the opportunity to enlighten the eager job seekers about the numerous self-employment schemes offered by Mission Youth and other relevant government departments.
The Assistant Director Employment urged all departments to maximize the benefits of self-employment schemes for the unemployed youth, while directing the participating companies to prioritize the recruitment of maximum number of jobless individuals.
The Deputy Director of Employment also assured that the Department is redoubling its efforts in connecting job givers and job seekers for the betterment of the community.
The vibrant atmosphere of the job fair echoed with gratitude as the youth expressed heartfelt thanks to the District Employment and Counseling Center (DECC) for organizing such a transformative event. They extended their appreciation and earnestly appealed for the continued efforts of the department in creating more opportunities, fostering growth, and supporting their aspirations for a prosperous future. The resonating sentiment among the youth emphasized the significance of ongoing endeavors to bridge the gap between job seekers and employment opportunities.
