| MVD challaned 32 vehicles, realised fine Rs 80000 from violators | | 1 Truck seized under section 207 MV Act: ARTO Reasi | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 24: Motor Vehicle Department reasi was launched an enforcement drive and challaned 32 vehicles and realised fine with an amount of rupees eighty thousand from the violators on the spot.
According to the report, ARTO Reasi Tara Mani Sharma along with team was launched an enforcement drive at moori area of District Reasi. During the course of checking, the team checked 84 vehicles. As many as 32 vehicles were found to be operating in contravention of various provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and were issued challans. A Fine amount of Rs 80000 realised on spot from compounded challans and another expected amount of Rs 40000 from challans. The owners and drivers were also advised to play vehicles on road with valid documents and avoid over speed and use of mobile phone while driving which often become cause of accidents on road.
ARTO Reasi Tara Mani Sharma Said that, nine vehicles has challaned and one truck was seized under section 207 MV Act during the enforcement drive.
The drivers were also aware during the enforcement drive.
He also said that, the drive shall be continues in future. The traffic violators will dealt with iron hand. |
