| Thousands witness ‘Shiva-Parvati’ Vivaah at historic Mantali temple | | | Sarita Jamwal Udhampur Feb 15- Kulbhushan Kapoor from Panjthirthi and Nisha Sharma of Ramgarh entered into nuptial ties as Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati at Historical Mantali temple organized by Shiv Senaks here today The barat of Shiva started from Ranbireshwar Temple early in the morning and reached at Mantali in the afternoon along with hundreds of people. Berate along with Dolls and Nagaras also rested at Chenani for some time where artists from Jammu performed Tandav Nritya. Baraties were dancing at the tune of drums and amidst chanting of Vedic Mantras and Shalokas. After performing Sant as per Hindu rituals at Chenani the Barat left for Mantali late in the afternoon where it was welcomed by thousands of people. Talking to media persons, Jitander Gupta Shiv Sevak said that this is the third consecutive time that the Shiv Sevak organization was performing "Shiv Vivaah". He stated that Vivaah was performed with unprecedented enthusiasm with the support of various social and religious organizations and prominent citizens every year and same tradition will continue in future to promote our culture and religion.
