Shri Ram School Jammu inspires women's empowerment through W20 summit

JAMMU, Dec 24: The Shri Ram School Jammu took a significant step towards advocating for gender equality and women's empowerment by organizing the W20 Summit. This summit, a global platform supporting these causes, brought together women of exceptional grit from various sectors to share their experiences. Eminent panelists, including Shilpa Dubey (DDC Member Vijaypur), Swati Basotra (Motivational Speaker), Sunaina Mehta Sharma (Joint Director Tourism), Mamta Singh (President Nari Shakti), Sandeepa Sambyal (Advocate High Court), Sanjita Dogra (President Mahila Morcha), Juhi Mohan (RJ), and Rajni Gupta (Director, TSUSJ), provided insights and expertise.
The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a welcome note by Col VK Sharma (Retd), the school's Principal. Col Sharma emphasized that the summit aimed to foster dialogue and collaboration on critical topics like economic empowerment, healthcare, education, leadership, etc., exploring innovative solutions to challenges faced by women striving for inclusive growth and equality.
Aligning with the school's commitment to a 'Go Green Drive,' Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman, and Rajni Gupta, Director, presented all guests with potted plants, symbolizing growth and sustainability.
Sunaina Mehta Sharma, Joint Director Tourism, applauded the school's efforts and stressed the importance of empowering women for a sustainable future. She emphasized that recognizing and promoting gender equality is crucial for societal and economic progress.
In her closing remarks, Shivani Vaid Sharma, the Headmistress of the school, expressed gratitude to all the guests for sharing their wisdom. The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, leaving a resonating impact on the importance of women's empowerment and gender equality in today's world.
