Early Times Report
PULWAMA, Dec 24: In a significant turn of events, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) experienced a considerable boost as eminent Social Activist Arshad Bhat, along with a substantial number of supporters, joined the party. The induction took place in the presence of Mr. Ashok Koul, Party General Secretary (Org), and Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, BJP National Executive Member & Chairperson Waqf Board. The event unfolded with a program at Town Hall Pulwama, where Arshad Bhat, the patron of Awaam Ki Awaaz NGO, expressed his gratitude to Ashok Koul and Dr. Andrabi for their commendable work at the grassroots level. Bhat acknowledged the opportunity to align with BJP's Development Agenda in Kashmir, considering it a stroke of good luck.
In a parallel development, Engineer Kamran Bhat, former NC Vice President for Central Kashmir, joined BJP at a gathering in the lawns of the New Mamta Hotel at Kohnakhan Srinagar. Thousands of supporters accompanied him amid enthusiastic slogans. Engineer Kamran Bhat emphasized BJP's tangible delivery in Kashmir compared to mere rhetoric by others. He envisioned his new journey with BJP as a transformative force in Srinagar's political landscape, citing significant public support.
Addressing the gatherings, Ashok Koul, BJP J&K Gen Sec (Organisation), highlighted the party's expanding footprint in the Kashmir valley. He underscored the positive impact of the government's decisions on peace, prosperity, and development in the region. Koul emphasized the growing strength of BJP in Kashmir, asserting that the youth of the valley recognized a brighter future with the party.
Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi, while welcoming the new leaders and their supporters into the BJP fold, emphasized the ongoing expansion movement across all parts of J&K. She contrasted the deceitful and bloody politics of dynasts with the commitment to peace under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. The inclusion of dynamic leaders like Arshid Bhat and Engineer Kamran Bhat was seen as a significant step in shaping a new political reality in Kashmir, according to Darakhshan.
Several other senior party leaders, including Seh Prabhari Kashmir Rafiq Wani, Media Incharge Kashmir Adv Sajid Yousuf Shah, and District President Pulwama M Lateef, were present at the occasion, solidifying the party's presence and influence in the region.
