| Natrang stages Urdu comedy 'Kabab Mein Haddi' | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 15- Highly popular Urdu Comedy 'Kabab Mein Haddi' written by famous playwright Balwant Gargi was staged here today at Natrang's weekly theatre show Sunday Theatre under the direction of Balwant Thakur. 'Kabab Mein Haddi' as the name suggests is the story of an intruder among two lovers who spoils their valentine day program by unwanted and irritating intrusions. Naseem and Jamila are engaged to each other and both are post graduate students studying in a University. Jamila is a putting-up in a girl’s hostel whereas Naseem is staying in a rented accommodation on sharing basis with one his friend Safdar. Despite having engaged they hardly find any space and avenue to meet each other to share their feelings. Jamila's hostel warden is very strict and hardly allows her to move out and this side Naseem's sticky friend Safdar hardly leaves him alone. They make all-out efforts to meet each other but owing to one or the other problem they are not able to do so. Mustering courage and pooling-in all resources they plan their outing. The moment they step out, Safdar makes his unwanted entry and offers to escort them throughout their outing. Both try to convince him that they can move on their own, but this foolish friend is not ready to buy their argument and forcefully accompanies them. The real comedy starts here when Safdar spoils their every precious moment of theirs by intruding between them by creating funny situations. His intrusions irritate them and the moment he sees that they are irritated; he tries to be closer to them with the attention to ease out tensions between them. By the time Safdar could understand that he is the cause of tension and fight between them, he had already spoiled their day which they had managed after long wait of two months praying and dying to meet each other. This three actor intense performance kept the audience spellbound with their effective histrionics. Gaurav Jamwal as Naseem and Tajasvi Sharma as Jamila were successful in portraying the inner conflict of the characters. Mohit Sharma, who kept the play moving and lively with his foolish intrusions, stole the show with his command over comedy. The lights were designed by Gaurav Jamwal and executed by Mohammed Yasin. Rohit Verma designed the music and Hemant Bholla did the presentations. Rahul Singh assisted and coordinated the show.
