| NC-Congress turns down Panthers offer of joining alliance: Sadhotra | | ‘Party fully exposed about its hidden deal with PDP’ | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 15- Terming the victory of all the four nominees of Congress-NC alliance to the Rajya Sabha ‘as victory of secularism and unity of the state’, the National Conference provincial President Ajay Sadhotra has taken serious exception to the voting pattern especially by the Panthers Party. In a statement issued here today Sadhotra said that by voting in favour of PDP, the Panthers Party has been fully exposed and termed it as ‘cat coming out of the bag’. He said the Panthers Party which was claiming to be champion to fight for the discrimination against Jammu has proved that they are not committed to the people of Jammu as it has voted to such a party which it had described as ‘anti-national’ while withdrawing support from the coalition headed by Ghulam Nabi Azad as also of talking of self rule, demilitarization and double currency. Sadhotra said it is astonishing how the PDP became nationalist party over night in the eyes of Panthers Party and why the interests of Jammu have been sold and what was the real deal between Panthers and the PDP. He has asked the people of Jammu to beware of Panthers Party which can befool the people and can go to any extent for petty monitory gains. Reacting sharply to the statement of Prof Bhim Singh that National Conference had offered MLC ship to the Panthers Party as all false and concocted, Sadhotra said NC and its leadership believes in value based politics and never exploits the situation for petty political gains. He said it was Panthers Party which was asking for ministerial birth in the coalition government and had offered to become part of the coalition in Jammu and Kashmir which coalition leadership did not agree to. Appealing the people of Jammu to strengthen the coalition headed by Omar Abdullah, he said the government is committed for equitable development of all the three regions of the state. He expressed confidence that people of Jammu shall not trust such exposed Panthers Party and its leadership and will teach them a lesson at an appropriate time.
