ADC Doda discusses preparations of R-Day 2024

DODA, Dec 26: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Doda, Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti today convened a meeting of all the district heads and other stakeholders to discuss the arrangements of Republic Day- 2024, here at the conference hall of DC office Doda.
The meeting was attended by SP Doda, CPO, ACR, ACD, ACP, Principal GDC Doda, CAO, DIO, CEO, CAHO, CHO, DSHO, district officers of all line departments besides executive engineers and officers of PWD, PDD, PHE, officers from educational institutions and senior officers attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that the main function will be held at Sport Stadium Doda. The function shall start with the Shehnai Wadan programme at 7.30 am in the morning by the District Information Centre Doda. It was also given out that contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, Forest Protection Force, NCC Senior and Junior Division, and various Government and Private schools shall participate in the march past.
The ADC directed all the departments including school education department to take the participants for cultural programme from 9th class onwards. He asked to submit the list of participants to the police department by 20th of January, besides asked the departments to submit the list of the name of the extraordinary Officials by 15th so that the names shall be put before the Scrutiny Committee in time and the list of selected ones is timely handing over to the sports department for arrangement of the trophies etc.
Education Department was also directed to submit the list of participating schools and other institutions to the designated committee so that refreshments shall be made available for all of them by the concerned.
Regarding illumination of offices and public properties, the ADC directed the EO MC Doda and Executive Engineer PDD to illuminate all the public offices as per the past practice, besides directed the PWD to ensure in advance face lift of the venue.
The arrangements for water and power supply, parking, first aid, sanitation, security, Public Address System, Fire tenders, decoration of the stage, seating arrangements besides arrangements of Mementos and refreshments were also discussed in detail.
ADC gave directions to the concerned officers to maintain cleanliness in and around the venue. He also directed for arrangements of Health facilities and traffic arrangements.
It was also decided that final full dress rehearsal shall be held on 24th of January 2024 from 11 am onwards, besides screening of cultural items shall be conducted on 16th January by the designated committee.
