IGNOU launches Masters Degree Programme from January 2024 admission cycle

JAMMU, Dec 27: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched Master of Arts in Population and Family Health Studies (MAPFHS) through online distance learning (ODL) mode. The programme will commence from the January 2024 academic session. The candidates who have completed their graduation in any subject can apply at the official website: www.ignou.ac.in or directly follow the link https://ignouadmission. samarth.edu.in/ to register/enroll for this programme. The newly launched Masters Programme in Population and Family Health Studies is of a minimum duration of 2 years and can be completed in a maximum of 4 years.
Through this programme, IGNOU is trying to enhance the knowledge of the learners on population dynamics and its related issues and challenges. This will also increase knowledge and capacities of learners to conduct research and studies on various aspects of population and family health care related issues and challenges.
"After undergoing this programme, a learner would be able to demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of scientific, evidence-based approaches to the study of population issues and identify causes and consequences of population change and relate these to underlying population dynamics", said Dr. Jai Prakash Verma. Regional Director, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi.
