| 7 grams of heroin recovered by Pounichak police | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 27: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police achieved major success by recovering 07 grams of heroin from two accused persons in the area under the jurisdiction of PP Pounichak.
A police team of PP Pounichak led by I/C PP Pounichak while on patrolling duty rounded up two suspects who were coming on vehicle bearing Registration No. JK02CW 9897. On search, 07 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession.
In this regard, a case FIR under relevant sections of NDPS Act got registered in PS Domana and accused were arrested. The accused arrested were later identified as :-
Mahavir Singh @ APPU S/o Lt. Jodh Singh R/o Ranjit pura Gole Gujral camp.
Variender Pal S/o Lt. Satpal R/o Chak lal din Padrod near Masjid SOS Tehsil Gurjar Basti Jammu.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
Jammu police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and thorough questioning of the accused is going on to know the origin of the drugs supply chain.
