Rotary Club organizes disease prevention, treatment project

JAMMU, Dec 28: In adherence to the special observance month of December, as directed by District 3070 Governor Rotarian Vipan Bhasin, Rotary Club Jammu Stars took a proactive step by organizing a noteworthy project focused on Disease Prevention and Treatment, specifically targeting flu and cold.
The club orchestrated an enlightening awareness talk on December 26th, featuring Dr. Shivani Sethi as the distinguished resource person. The event aimed to benefit the labor class and residents of the slum area in Trikuta Nagar Sector 1.
Club President Pooja Malhotra addressed teenage girls and women during the talk, providing crucial insights into maintaining personal hygiene and health, particularly during the menstrual cycle.
The executive team, comprising Rtn. Jassi Kaur, Rtn. Ginni Chadha, Rtn. Sahma Dua, Rtn. Gurjit Singh, and prominent senior residents of Trikuta Nagar, actively participated in the event.
Rtn. Nidhi Gupta efficiently coordinated the project, ensuring its success. As a part of the initiative, refreshments and sanitary pads were generously distributed among the beneficiaries, numbering nearly sixty.
This commendable effort by Rotary Club Jammu Stars underscores their commitment to community well-being and reflects the positive impact that can be achieved through collaborative and focused projects.
