| BIS JKBO holds gram panchayat sensitisation programme in Doda | | |  Early Times Report
DODA, Dec 28: Jammu and Kashmir Branch Office of Bureau of Indian Standards today held a sensitisation programme for Gram Panchayats of seven blocks of Doda district.
The programme was conducted by BIS resource person Amir Tantray and district Panchayat officer Suraj Jasrotia presided over the function.
This was the second such programme held in district Doda. Earlier on December 21, BIS JKBO Assistant Director Hitesh Yadav had conducted the programme.
Today PRIs and panchayat secretaries of Bhalla, Ghat, Gundna and Dali Udyanpur participated.
Tantray briefed them about the role BIS, standardisation, conformity assessment, use of BIS Care App, how to check genuine ISI mark and hallmark gold.
The programme was conducted under the overall supervision of BIS JKBO Director and Head Tilak Raj.
Participants expressed satisfaction about getting information about things which are vital for their daily life.
DPO Doda Suraj Jasrotia thanked BIS for conducting this programme and hoped that this will help the participants in bringing standardisation in works on the ground. |
