GDC Samba organizes Essay Writing competition

SAMBA, Dec 30: An Essay Writing Competition on the topic, "My Vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047" was organized by the Department of English on 30-12-2023 under the aegis of Viksit Bharat @ 2047. Faculty of English Department along with committee of Viksit Bharat Mentors was present on the occasion. The Competition, held in the backdrop of India's dynamic development journey, encouraged the participants to explore innovative ideas and propose solutions to the challenges and opportunities that arise in a rapidly evolving nation. The purpose of these activities is to spread awareness among the youth about the flagship schemes of the Govt. as well as seek their opinion about making India a better nation. This competition aligns with the college's vision of promoting intellectual discourse and encouraging the students to critically engage with the contemporary issues, fostering a holistic educational environment so that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp can be achieved. The Principal Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri encouraged the students by illuminating them about the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047. In her interaction with the students, she stressed on their contribution in making India a fully developed nation by the year 2047.
Kasak Sharma, Mehak Sharma and Abhay Sharma were adjudged first, second and third in this competition. The jury members for this competition were Prof. Shaveta Gupta and Prof. Harpreet Kour.
