| Bovine smuggling bid foiled | | |

JAMMU, Dec 30: Police party of PP Manwal led by PSI Sanjeev Sharma under the supervision of SHO P/S Jhajjar Kotli Azad Ahmed & SDPO Nagrota Sh Aakash Kohli intercepted one Truck bearing registeration no. JK02CT-1855 which was coming from Battal/Samba towards Udhampur/Kashmir side. At Naka point Nadal, when naka party signal to stop the vehicle, the driver of vehicle tried to escape but somehow naka party chased it. During checking of the said vehicle, found 13 bovine animals loaded mercilessly in cruel manner without fodder and water in above said vehicle. On this Bovine animals rescued, vehicle seized and the driver fled away from the spot. In this regard, a case FIR has been registered under relevant sections. Further investigation of the case is going on. |
