Jammu, Feb 16- Hundreds of residents, traders and heads of various mohalla committees of Jammu West constituency led by Sunil Dimple president Jammu West Assembly Movement today held a protest demonstration and staged dharna against which it called the failure of the government in controlling traffic problem on Amphalla, New Plot, Janipur, Roop Nagar, Bantalab routes as also in Jammu city. Addressing the demonstrators Dimple urged the Chief Minister to look into the growing traffic problem in Jammu city particularly in the localities of Jammu West constituency. He alleged that these roads have become death trap for the people adding that during the last 15 years the government has not taken any worthwhile step to ease traffic pressure on these busy and narrow roads. To ease pressure on the existing roads, Dimple demanded construction of Fly Over at Rehari Chungi and sub-ways for pedestrians, besides constructing of 4- way circular road from Manda to High Court Janipur, Roop Nagar, Bantalab. Among others, who took part in the demonstration, included Chander Kohli, Prem Sharma, Kuldeep Mangotra, Randhir Singh Bali, Jai Kumar, C L Wattal, Naresh Gupta, Mohan Lal Sharma, Dev Raj Sharma and Rashpal Singh.
