| Bhamag residents hold demonstration against missing of BRTF employee | | | Sarita Jamwal Udhampur Feb 16- People living in different areas of Panchari and Bhamag area of Udhampur district today held protest demonstration at Deputy Commissioner office demanding action to trace out missing Border Road Organization employee of their area who was mysteriously missing from Tinsukhiya area of Assam state for last one year. To press their demands, the Bhamag residents held protest demonstration outside Deputy Commissioner Office and also tried to block Dhar road. Protesters were raising slogans demanding action for tracing missing BRTF employee namely Karan Singh who is reportedly missing from Tinsukhiya area of Assam where he was posted. The BRTF employee went missing mysteriously from Tinsukhiya station when he was returning towards his home town in Panchari in November 2007 to celebrate Diwali but went on missing. With tears in her eyes, the daughter of missing Karan Singh holding banner in hand was appealing to district administration to trace out his father. She while talking to media showed deep concern that despite repeated appeals to concerned quarters even to home ministry no response was given to family members till date about where about of her father . She allege that police and concerned BRTF unit is non serious about missing of his father. Meanwhile, Additional Deputy Commissioner met the agitating villagers and assured them every possible help in this regard. He said that administration has already taken up the matter with Assam administration and investigation is going on to trace out the missing employee.
