Lecture on ‘eco tourism- livelihood’ in GCW Parade

Jammu, Feb 16- A lecture on the topic “Eco-tourism and Livelihood” was organized by the Science Club of Government College for Women Parade, here today
Dr. O.P. Sharma, Joint Director, State Forest Research Institute while delivering his lecture said that tourism should be transformed into Eco-tourism keeping in view the ecosystem and the interest of the tourists. This will help in conserving and propagating the flora and fauna of aesthetic beauty, he added.
He further suggested that new destinations for tourism are to be explored and developed to improve the living standards of the people of those areas.
Lauding the role of Science Club, Savitri Sharma, Principal, impressed upon the girl students to develop scientific outlook.
In his welcome address Dr. Ravinder Chadha, Convernor of the club, expressed the hope that organizing such lectures will help the students to update their knowledge.
Prof. Gayatri Langer presented vote of thanks.
