Jammu, Feb 16 In order to make detailed retrospective analysis of the recently held elections to the State Assembly, the National Conference held a 2-day party convention at Banihal and Ramsu blocks today. Hundreds of party workers of all panchayats of Banihal constituency took part in the convention which was chaired by Sajjad Shaheen.
The party activists apprised the party leaders about the problems confronting the people of area in respect of drinking water, electricity and other basic facilities.
On this occasion, a number of prominent political workers including Lambardars, Sarpanches and other office bearers belonging to PDP, Panthers Party, BJP, Congress, and supporters of independent candidates joined National Conference in presence of Sajjad Shaheen. Prominent among who joined National Conference were Abdul Majid Sheikh Sarbagni, Hafiz Gulzar Ahmed, Jagdev Singh Prabhat Singh, Advocate Abdul Latif, Thakur Tirath Singh, Majeed-ul-Rehaman, Mohammed Yaseen , Mohammed Mazamil Mir, Yousaf Choudhary, Piyara Singh, Thakur Jagir Singh, Ghulam Nabi Trigan and Mohammed Sharif Neel
Welcoming their joining into the party fold Shaheen expressed the hope that the party would be further strengthened at the grass roots level. He said the delegates that the ruling alliance is committed for the equitable development of all the regions of the state and assured that the demands raised at the convention would be got addressed to at the earliest.
Mohammed Akhter Malik, Khalid Nizam, Mohammed Afzal Wani, Nissar Ahmed Sohil, Thakur Amar Nath, Bashir Ahmed Naik and Peer Assad-u-llah Shah also addressed the convention.
