| Lal Singh inaugurates legal awareness camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER BATOTE | SEPT 20 A 3-day legal awareness camp organized by an NGO, namely ‘society for justice awareness and deliverance’, was inaugurated by Member Parliament, Ch. Lal Singh here today. The camp is being attended by about 150 law students drawn from various law colleges of university of Jammu. The main aim of organizing the camp is to local people aware about their rights and duties. Speaking in the occasion Lal Singh said, youth of the country have more responsibility t work for the betterment of the common man, and as such they should come forward and fight against the corruption. He said, we were slave of foreign rulers up to 1947, but now we are independent and as such we should work for over all development of the state and country in particular. He stressed upon the students present on the occasion to help poor and town trodden people of the society, who have been neglected always. Referring to the students he said, “you are our Rajguru, Sukhdev and Bhagat Singh and as such country had high hopes on you”. The president of Minicipal Committee, Batote S. Ravinder Singh in his welcome address said, Ch. Lal Singh as J&K health minister has done remarkable job and got health department re-vamped. We need leaders f his caliber he said. Among others the function was attended by principal Boys higher Secondary School, Batote, were the camp is organized. Others who spoke on the occasion were Shehnawaz, Iftikar Ahmed, Amandeep Singh, Raj Kanwal, Dabrez Salaria, Udhey Veer, jaga Singh and Rameshwaram.
