Narcotic smuggling bid foiled, three held with narcotic substances in Gool area

RAMBAN, Jan 9: Cracking down heavily on Narcotics smuggling under Operation Sanjeevani Ramban Police under the overall supervision of SSP Ramban Mohita Sharma IPS, foiled a Narcotics smuggling bid at Sangaldan, Gool and arrested three persons with Charas and Herione.
A police party of Police Post Sangaldan established a special Naka at Chandial Morh Sangaldan. During checking Police party signalled one car bearing registration number JK0CS 4036 coming from Sangaldan Side towards Gool.
On questioning the driver and two more occupants sitting in the car disclosed their identity as Yasir Arfat son of Ghulam Rasool, Mohd Waris son of Mohd Shafi both residents of Jaman, Gool and Tafheem Malik son of Bashir Malik resident of Bandhan, Sangaldan.
During the process of checking Charas approximately 350 gms was recovered from the dash board of said car and during personal search of the above named Persons 07 gms Herione each was recovered from the pockets of Yasir Arfat and Mohd.Waris, whereas 12 gms Herione was recovered from the pocket of Tafheem Malik.
A case FIR No 02/2024 U/s 8/20/21/29 NDPS registered at PS Gool.
The accused persons have been arrested and contraband alongwith vehicle seized, investigation of the case going on to prove backward and forward linkages.
