JAMMU, Jan 9: Er. N. S. Bali (IAS), the Mission Director for Dairy Development in Jammu & Kashmir, paid a visit to the 'Jammu and Kashmir Milk Producers' Cooperative Limited' in Satwari, Jammu. His visit aimed to assess the ongoing construction of the first UHT plant in the hilly Indian state, dedicated to processing high-quality milk. This plant is a part of the NPDD project. He assured that the future of dairy in J&K is bright. He directed JKMPCL to expedite the project's execution, ensuring that processed milk with a shelf life of three months would soon be accessible to consumers within J&K. The 'Jammu and Kashmir Milk Producers' Cooperative Limited,' being the apex dairy cooperative in the state, has consistently pioneered the technology necessary for producing superior-quality processed milk and milk-based products.
During his visit, he also reviewed the final stages of a new five-story Administrative Block within the JKMPCL premises in Satwari. This block is nearly at its completion stage. He highlighted the significant employment opportunities generated both directly and indirectly for the youth of J&K. Additionally, he pledged ongoing support and urged JKMPCL to promptly seek assistance if needed to accelerate their work. Furthermore, he promised the establishment of more new Amul parlors in J&K.
Throughout his visit, he was accompanied by the CEO, Plant Incharge, and their respective teams.
