01 theft case solved, items worth Rs 5 lakhs recovered by Gangyal police

Jammu, Jan 9: An information was received at PS Gangyal regarding theft in TATA Fair deal workshop kunjwani from which cash along with mechanical parts worth Rs 5 lakhs got stolen.
In this regard, case FIR No. 06/2024 U/S 457/380 IPC got registered at PS Gangyal and investigation started.
After this special police teams of PS Gangyal led by SHO PS Gangyal did strenuous efforts finally rounded up one suspected person later identified as :- Avtar Singh S/o Sulinder Singh R/o Baba Fareed Nagar. During questioning accused confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure stolen cash along with mechanical parts was recovered from his possession.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
02. Three accused arrested in Firing case, by Police post Chinore Jammu
On 31/12/2023 an information was received from reliable sources at PP Chinore regarding firing by two groups at Kamal Nagar Thathar Bantalab.
On this case FIR No. 384/2023 u/s 307/160/323IPC and 03/4/25 Arms act got registered at PS Domana and investigation started.
After this special police teams of PP Chinore led by I/C PP Chinore did strenuous efforts and with the help of technical and human intelligence rounded up three accused persons. During questioning accused confessed their involvement in above case and on their disclosure two pistols and 05 live rounds were also recovered from their possession.
Accused arrested were later identified as:
1. Sandeep Khajuria @Anku S/O Madan Mohan R/O Raipur Bantalab
2. Suresh Kumar S/O Sham Lal R/O Talab Tillo.
3. Akabar Ali S/O Saif Ali R/O Gurha Brhaman Bantalab.
It is pertinent to mentioned that more arrests are likely to made in the instant case.
Further investigation in the case is going on.
