| Rs 850 Cr for LS polls | | |
New Delhi, Feb 17: The government has kept aside a total of Rs 850 crore to meet the expenses for the general elections likely to be held in April-May this year.
The outlay for election expenses has been provided for in the Interim Budget presented by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
The expenditure put in the 'Non Plan Expenditure by Broad Categories in the Expenditure Budget' section has been made for meeting the carry forward liability in respect of general elections to the 15th Lok Sabha.
