| GDC Vijaypur celebrates National Youth Day | | |  Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Jan 12: Red Ribbon Club of Govt. Degree College Vijaypur in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society organized poster making competition on the eve of "National Youth Day" under the able guidance of worthy Principal Dr. Vandana Gupta. It is an occasion that celebrates the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Students of the College actively participated in the events enthusiastically with great interest and zeal by putting their ideas and thoughts artistically in their posters.
Program started with the welcome address by Prof. Poonam Kundan (Convener, Red Ribbon Club) where she briefed students about the objective of celebrating National Youth Day and further focused on this year theme Arise, Awake, and Realise the Power You Hold"
Nearly 15 students of GDC Vijaypur participated in the poster making competition. First position was secured by Kavya Charak of B.Com Sem-VI second position was secured by Kajal Choudhary of B.Com Sem-VI and third position was achieved Rohit Singh of BA Sem-VI. The competition was adjudjed by Prof. Anoop Bhagat (HOD Socilogy), Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce) and Prof. Ritu Bhagat (HOD Education). Senior faculty member Prof. Anita Jamwal was also present in the event.
The competition was coordinated by Prof. Poonam Kundan (Convener, Red Ribbon Club) and co-coordinated by Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri), Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, Prof. Renuka Kundal, and Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo. The refreshment was also distributed to the students during the event. |
