MVD Challaned 22 vehicles, realised fine of Rs 27000 from violators

REASI, Jan 12: Motor Vehicle Department Reasi along with traffic police was conducted a joint Nakka at Kakryal area of Katra and Challaned 22 vehicles and realised fine with an amount of Rs 22000 from the violators on the spot.
ARTO Reasi Tara Mani Sharma along with team was launched an joint enforcement drive with traffic Police at Kakryal and Katra Domail Highway at various locations. During the enforcement drive, the team checked 96 vehicles. As many as the team challaned 22 vehicles which were found to be operating in contravention of various provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and were issued challans. The Fine amount of Rs 27000 realised on spot from compounded challans and another expected amount of Rs 40000 to be realised from challans. The Joint naka with traffic police especially focusing on people playing without helmets.
ARTO Reasi Tara Mani Sharma Said that, the main motive of the enforcement drive to focusing on those people who were playing without helmets. On Friday joint Nakka established by the MVD and Traffic Police. He appealed to the people to wear crash helmet while driving the two wheeler and follow the traffic Norms. If any person found to violating the norms then strict action will be taken against them under law. The drive shall be continues in future.
