Kathua, Jan 12: Government Degree College for women kathua, celebrated Lohri festival in the college campus with a lot of exuberance and funfair. The mood of the campus was upbeat and the students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. The bonfire was lit by worthy Principal of the college, Dr, Savi Behl and all three sesame seeds, jaggery and reweries in it. The students sang songs and dance immersed in rich cultural folk fair of North India. Program was organised under the supervision of Dr. Rachna Devi, Dean Student Welfare and all senior faculty members Dr. Inderjeet Kaur, Dr. Babita Mahajan, Dr. Ashwini khajuria, Dr. Deepshikha Sharma along with members of student welfare committee were present in the function. The celebration concluded with the pray to the fire God to bless all with abundance and prosperit. |
