Jammu Kashmir teachers association holds meet

Jammu, Jan 12: Today on the 12th of January 2024 an important meeting of the office bearers of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA ) held under the Chairmanship of Joginder Digra Vice President of the JKTA.
Joginder Digra Vice President of the JKTA appealed to the Director School Education Jammu to extend the winter vacations for students as well as for the staff members including teaching faculties.In these days temperature is 5 degree celcius to 6 degree Celsius which are causing serious health problems to the staff who are coming to schools during this chilled weather.
Joginder Digra also appealed to the State Project Director, Samgra Shiksha Abhiyan to provide additional grants in favour of students of Govt.Schools for purchasing of good quality of Sweaters, Shoes, Socks during this winter season, students of govt.schools mostly belong to poor families and they are not be capable to purchase winter uniform.So the winter uniforms of students should be provided to them by the Directorate of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
Smt.Poonam Thakur Senior leader of the female wing of the Jammu Kashmir Teachers Association also spoke in the meeting and raised point to point issues of teachers. 01Transfer policy for females teachers who are serving in hard zone especially Grade-II and Grade-III teachers, 02 The master , teachers who are suffering from health consuming disease should be transfer to the nearby place of their residence.03 Timely release of salary grants in favour of teachers.
Sadaket Malik the senior members of the JKTA also supported the issues of teachers raised by the teachers in this meeting.
