JU Signs MoU with Growbyte IT Providers Hyderabad

JAMMU, Jan 12: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the University of Jammu and M/s Growbyte IT Providers Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, today at University of Jammu (JU). Under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, JU, the Department of CS & IT, has moved one more step forward in building the industry-academia collaboration in form of MoU which is fourth of its kind in the recent times. The MoU was signed by Prof. Rahul Gupta, Registrar, on behalf of the University of Jammu and Shri. Madhu Vadlamni, Director, M/s Growbyte IT Providers Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad. The objective of the MoU is to provide technical and developmental opportunities for software development, organization of faculty development programmes, provide project assistance, conduct of seminars and workshops on recent trends in the emerging areas of Computer Science, which will mutually benefit the students, scholars, and faculty members of the Department.
Prof. Meena Sharma, Dean Research Planning, and presently, holding the charge of Vice Chancellor, while appreciating the efforts made by the department, expressed the sincere hope that such interactions with the corporate sector shall not only confine to the fraternity of Computer Science Department but also such expertise shall be extended in setting up of latest digital facilities like creation of incubation centres at JU. Prof. Anju Bhasin, Dean Academic Affairs, University of Jammu, and former Vice Chancellor, Cluster University, Jammu, while congratulating the initiative, appreciated the consistent efforts made by the department to provide the high end opportunities to the students to learn industrial skills. Prof. Anju Bhasin further added that such initiatives shall enhance the capabilities of the students to meet the challenges of fast growing IT sector. Prof. Neelu Rohmetra, Dean Research Studies and Former Director, IIM, Sirmaur, HP, while speaking on the occasion, welcomed the officials of the corporate sector and emphasized that such mutual collaborations of academia and industry shall enable the institutions of higher learning to get an exposure in the latest IT trends in field of academics and research.
