| IRP hiring fair transparent: PHQ | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, FEBRUARY 18 – In order to make interested candidates aware about the process and facilitate them in mode of applying for recruitment in five IRP battalions as well as in Executive Police (Kashmir Zone), which are currently underway, a PHQ spokesman today said that the recruitment will be held in each district by the Police Recruitment Board which will be headed by the respective DIG of the Range in a fair and transparent manner. The Director General of Police, Mr. Kuldeep Khoda has already issued orders in this behalf. He has also issued instructions for strict adherence to recruitment norms in the appointment of deserving candidates. Giving further details, the PHQ spokesman said that the candidates will be put to physical test and if he fulfils the minimum requirement of height of 5'-6'' and chest at 32-33½", he will be considered for follow up tests. The candidates will be put to other ground tests which include race, high jump, long jump and shot put, the spokesman said, adding that in case of failure in any of these events, the candidates will be disqualified in appearing in any subsequent event. The spokesman said that after qualifying the physical test and other related prerequisites, the merit of the candidate will be considered on the basis of overall marks secured in height, educational qualification, any additional qualification and service as SPO or volunteer homeguards.
