| MVD organized awareness program on National Road safety month | | | Early Times Report

As a part of the ongoing National Road Safety Month, motor vehicle Department reason on Tuesday also to attend the public complaint received regarding timely running of mini-buses from Pouni to Bhambla. on Tuesday the Motor Vehicles Department Reasi under the overall supervision of ARTO Reasi Sh Tara Mani organised a Road Safety awareness Program at Pouni.
During the program, the transporters there were given three day time period to provide fixed time table of mini-buses plying from Pouni to different locations with vehicle and driver name. As many as 50 drivers were present and also road safety pledge was taken to always follow road safety measures and also the people were made aware about the various online services of the department and Road Accident Victim fund .
Enforcement cum awareness of 2-wheelers regarding wearing helmets was also conducted. The main objective of holding the program is to promote good driving practice and stress upon the need of wearing helmets, wearing seatbelt, refraining from over speeding and overloading , so that a safe driving environment is created. |
