| Leh district to get Rs.4 crore additionality: CM | | |

Jammu, Feb 19- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has today assured to release an
additionality of Rs. four crores for Leh district, besides giving favorable consideration to
other demands.
This assurance was given to the Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Leh Chhering Dorje
who called on the Chief Minister here today. Thupstan Chhewang MP, Tseten Namgyal,
MLA, Tsering Norboo Kampa, Mohammed Khan, Stanzin Delex executive councils and
other councilors were also present on the occasion.
Peoples representatives of Chantnag Sub division also called on the Chief Minister and
presented a memorandum projecting charter of demands which include release of
funds for early execution of Geothermal Project at Puga, extension of transmission line
up to Nyoma, provision of Actual Line Certificates to the people of Chanthang living
near the China border and creation of Assembly seat for Nyoma.
The Councilors Tsering Angdus and Gyal Wangial who also met the Chief Minister
demanded posing of BDO and other officers to Kharu block to make the block functional
in all respects. Phunchok Stanzin Councilor demanded immediate execution of works on
the Hanu Hydle Project, creation of Lower Sham Block and installation of DG Sets at
Achinathang, Dha and Hanu.
