JAMMU, FEBRUARY 19 (INFO)-According to Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department (CAPD), the sale rate and scale of food-grains and Kerosene oil are fixed by the department. For APL category, the department has fixed Rs.7.55 per kg and Rs.80 for 10 kg pack, Rs.7 per kg for wheat, Rs.9.50 per kg for rice, Rs.13.50 per kg for sugar and Rs.9.50 per litre for Kerosene oil.
For BPL category, Rs.5.25 per kg for flour, Rs.4.75 per kg for wheat, Rs.6.25 per kg for rice, Rs.13.50 per kg for sugar and Rs.9.50 per litre for Kerosene oil have been fixed. Similarly, for AAY category, Rs.2 per kg for flour, Rs.2 per kg for wheat, Rs.3 per kg for rice, Rs.13.50 per kg for sugar and Rs.9.50 per litre kerosene oil.
The issuance of quantity of food grains and kerosene oil for APL category is 8 kg wheat/atta and 5 kg rice per soul per month. For BPL and AAY category 35 kg food grains per family per month at subsidized rates, 700 gm sugar per soul per month besides minimum 5 litres per ration ticket per month kerosene oil.
The CAPD Department has appealed the general public to lodge the complaint if any, with the grievance cell in the Directorate of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department on phone numbers 09797354103, 0191-2502607 or by fax or by SMS for any grievance regarding over charging, less issue and sub-standard quality.
