| Excise Commissioner reviews progress of E&C Taxes complex | | |

UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 19- Excise Commissioner, Mr. Pardeep Gupta today visited Udhampur and reviewed the progress of the Excise and Commercial Taxes complex being constructed at Udhampur by the PWD. He was accompanied by the District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, SE PWD (R&B) and other senior officers of the department.
Mr. Gupta informed that with the increase in the railway goods traffic at Udhampur, it has become necessary to have a full fledged toll post at Udhampur. He informed that the new toll post is being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.20 crore, involving construction of an office complex and residential quarters of the staff, besides weigh bridges and parking bays for trucks.
Mr. Gupta exhorted upon the concerned engineers to complete the balance works at the earliest so that the toll post is made functional in a full fledged manner.
