| Tourism Deptt imposes Rs. 6500 fine to defaulters | | |
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 19 - Assistant Director Tourism alongwith other officials of the department and Tourist Police started a drive against defaulter of Tourist Trade Act 1978/82 and made inspection of hotels at Patnitop.
During the inspection most of the units were found violating the Act. They were compounded and fine of Rs. 6500 was realized from them. These hoteliers were asked to get their units registered/ renewed otherwise legal proceedings will be made against them. Hoteliers were asked to display their registration certificate alongwith tariff plan for convenience of the customers.
