POONCH, FEBRUARY 19- Income Tax Department Poonch organized Income Tax Awareness Workshop in the district here today. The workshop attended by the Drawing and Disbursing officers of the district aims at making them fully acquainted regarding implementation of income tax regulations.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonch Dr. R. L Bhelum was the chief guest on the occasion while Additional Commissioner Income Tax Department Mr. J. R Khajuria inaugurated the workshop.
While exhibiting “Power Print Documentary” prepared for the purpose Income Tax Officer, Udhampur discussed in threadbare, proper implementation of rules and regulation of the Act. All obligatory provision regarding obtaining Permanent Account Number (PAN) and tax A/Number (TAN) and deduction of income tax at source (TDS) was explained.
Another senior Tax Officer responded to queries raised by DDOs in an effort to make them fully aware of I.T regulation and exemption clauses provided by the Income Tax Act.
