Case of missing milk: CBI books Major others for Rs 68 lakh scam

Jammu, Feb19: The Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Central Bureau of has registered a case against Major Kuldeep Singh the then Incharge Military Farm Jammu, Milkhi Ram the then Assistant Supervisor of the same farm and other unknown officials of Military Farms Ferozpur, Ambala and Jallundhar in Rs.68 lakh milk scam and started investigation.
According to the FIR the military farm Jammu was required to dispatch skimmed milk powder to Military Farms Ferozpur, Ambala and Jallundhar during the year 2002-2003 as per direction of Western Command. It has been learnt that Major Kuldeep Singh then Incharge Military Farm Satwari Jammu and Milkhi Ram then Assistant Supervisor entered into criminal conspiracy with other unknown officials of Military Farms Ferozpur, Ambala and Jallundhar with a common object to misuse their position as Public Servants and thereby falsified the relevant records showing false dispatch of skimmed milk powder to Military Farm Ferozpur, Ambala and Jallundhar and thereby misappropriated the said milk powder and caused wrongful loss to the Government exchequer and wrong gains to themselves. In the furtherance of the said criminal conspiracy they prepared false documents showing transportation of 105 MTs of skimmed milk powder worth Rs 67.43 lakhs from Military Farm Jammu to Military Farms Ferozpur, Ambala and Jallundhar during the year 2002-2003 which reveals that only paper transaction were made and neither any such material was transported nor dispatched to above said military farms by the said two accused. The cost of 105 MTs of skimmed milk powder amounting Rs 67.43 lakhs was misappropriated by the said accused officials of Military farms of Jammu, Ferozpur, Ambala and Jallundhar causing in conspiracy and thereby huge loss to the Government exchequer.
In the FIR it was pointed out that 19 Mts of skimmed milk powder have been shown falsely dispatched from Military Farm Jammu to Military Farm Ferozpur vide vehicle registration No JK02G-7385 and JKR-9313 on January 8, 2001, these vehicles came to be motorcycle and Bajaj Scooter as per the record of the RTO Jammu. The said accused officers claimed fake transportation charges of Rs 24700 and thereby defrauded the Government exchequer and a case u/s 120-B RPC r/w section 420, 409, 468, 471 RPC and 5(2) r/w section 5(1) (c) of J&K PC Act 2006 BK and started investigation.
