Early Times Report
RAMNAGAR, Jan 25: In a spirited celebration of National Voters Day 2024 under the theme AZADI KA AMRUT KAAL, the Socially Aware Voter Empowerment Program (SVEEP) Cell of GDC Ramnagar orchestrated a series of engaging activities, including poster making, slogan writing, and a Nukkad Natak. Under the dynamic leadership of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand and the efficient supervision of Prof. Sunil Kumar, Coordinator SVEEP, the college echoed with creativity and civic fervor as students and staff joined hands to promote the significance of voting in a democracy. During his address, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand congratulated everyone on National Voters Day, emphasizing the pivotal role of active participation in the electoral process. He urged all to spread the message of voter enrollment, encouraging fearless voting in every election to strengthen the nation's democratic foundation. The highlight of the celebration was a poster-making competition, where Miss Divya Bandral, Miss Monalika Sharma, and Ms. Shewata Pathania secured the first, second, and third positions, respectively. The vibrant posters conveyed messages of civic responsibility and the power of voting. The day continued with the solemn swearing-in of the Voters Pledge by the patron, teaching and non-teaching staff, and members of the SVEEP cell. Following this, students took their enthusiasm to the nearby village Jandriari, presenting a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak titled "Vote the Right Leader." The performance, featuring Monalika Sharma, Divya Bandral, Arti Sharma, Ankush Klotra, Priya Sharma, Manisha Sharma, Shivali Sharma, Harshpreet Sharma, Shivani, and Shweta Pathania, resonated with the importance of making informed choices during elections.
