Mobile Eye Testing Camp organized for commercial drivers at Reasi

REASI, Jan 27:

Motor Vehicle Department Reasi collaborated with the Rotary Health Club Udhampur and Reasi to organize a free Medical Camp cum Eye Checkup Camp at Bus Stand Reasi. The event, held as part of the ongoing National Road Safety Month, focused on ensuring the well-being of drivers and conductors.
As many as 200 drivers and conductors underwent meticulous screenings to assess their fitness for driving. The comprehensive checkup aimed to identify and address any potential health concerns that could compromise their ability to operate vehicles safely. .
During the event, individuals found unfit received personalized guidance and recommendations for further medical attention.
The initiative of Motor Vehicle Department Reasi, in collaboration with the Rotary Health Club, highlights the commitment to fostering a safer road environment and promoting the overall health of the community.
Speaking on the occasion, ARTO Tara Mani emphasized the crucial role drivers play in ensuring road safety. He urged drivers to adhere to all precautions and road safety measures while driving and encouraged them to raise awareness among their family and friends about the importance of following precautionary measures. He urged drivers to prioritize safety by avoiding rash driving, abstaining from driving under the influence of alcohol, and adhering to speed limits.
