Road Safety awareness event organised at Pul Doda

DODA, Jan 27: The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) on Saturday orchestrated a significant road safety awareness event at Pul Doda.
This initiative aimed to raise awareness about road safety among the community under the ongoing month long National Road Safety campaign, emphasizing the importance of safe practices on the roads.
On the 13th day of the National Road Safety Month, the MVD Doda collaborated with transporters and the NGO Tejas to conduct the awareness program at Pul Doda. ,
Pamphlets on road safety were distributed to enhance awareness among road users, pedestrians, and commuters.
Considering the unique challenges of hilly roads, specific safety measures were highlighted during the event. They were told that factors such as steep inclines, sharp turns, and adverse weather conditions necessitates extra caution while driving in hilly terrain.
The importance of maintaining safe speeds, using headlights during foggy conditions, and adhering to designated lanes were among the key points discussed to ensure safer travel on hilly roads.
The entire program was conducted under the supervision of ARTO Doda, ensuring the effective implementation of road safety initiatives and strategies.
By fostering collaboration between government agencies, NGOs, and the community, such events play a crucial role in promoting road safety and reducing accidents on our roads.
