Theft case solved by Janipur police

Jammu, Jan 27: On 21.01.2024, a complaint was lodged at PS Janipur by one person namely Hardish Kumar Vaid S/o Satya Pal Vaid R/o Shant Nagar, old Janipur Jammu regarding theft of his scooty bearing Reg.No. JK14B-5088.
On this, case FIR No.16/2024 u/s 379 IPC got registered at PS Janipur and investigation started.
After this special police teams of PS Janipur led by SHO PS Janipur did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV footages of the areas finally rounded up the accused person later identified as Rahul Kumar @Kaka S/O Sham Lal Muthi. During questioning accused confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure stolen scooty bearing Registration No . JK14B-5088 along with the following vehicles were recovered from his possession:
The details of recovered vehicles is :
1. Scooty Activa bearing Reg.No.JK-14B 5088
2. Scooty Activa Colour Black Chassis No. NME4JF509LG80098292
3. Scooty Activa Chassis No. ME4JF505DGU069373
4. Motorcycle Splendor bearing Reg.No.JK02BP-9661, Chassis no. MBLHAW127NHC25045
5. Motorcycle Extreme, colour Black Chassis No. IMD2A92CY8KCC13624
It is pertinent to mention that the above said accused person also had a similar case of scooty theft in case FIR No.87/2022 u/s 379 IPC of PS Janipur and charge sheet of the case was produced before the court of law.
Further investigation of the case is going on.
