| Alok fails to turn up before Sharma commission | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 20- Former Jammu Senior Superintendent of police Alok Verma on Friday failed to turn up in front of Justice OP Sharma Commission set up by the Governor NN Vohra to unravel the truth behind allegations of manhandling mortal remains of Kuldeep Kumar Dogra who died at the peak of Amarnath land row in Jammu on July 24. The senior police officer Alok Verma, the then SSP Jammu was expected to present himself before the commission to record his statement but after day long wait he failed to turn up. Advocate Ramesh Arora appearing on behalf of Amarnath Sangarsh Samiti said that till date several senior officers including Additional DC has recorded his statement in front of the commission and today it was the turn of then SSP Jammu Alok Verma. He said the senior IPS officer till late afternoon had not informed the office of the commission about his presence
