Empowering Women: RESTI's Beauty Parlour management training programme concludes at Doda

DODA, Jan 29: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh today emphasized the pivotal role of skill development and entrepreneurship in empowering women.
He was speaking at the valedictory function of the beauty parlour management training programme organised Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RESTI).
Singh commended the Rural Self Employment Training Institute for its efforts in organising valuable training programs, highlighting the significance of such initiatives in fostering economic self-reliance among women. He stressed the importance of utilizing newly acquired skills to either establish their own businesses or secure employment opportunities within the beauty and wellness industry. During the event, Deputy Commissioner Singh personally distributed certificates to the successful graduates, applauding their dedication and hard work throughout the training program. The ceremony served as a platform to celebrate the achievements of the participants and showcase their potential to contribute to the socio-economic development of the region. The LDM Doda, Praveen Kumar welcomed the DDC, Doda and briefed about the RSETI and its role in generation of self employment. The valedictory function was attended by Trainers, Programme assessment Staff, Director RSETI, Beneficiaries and trainees alongside representatives from various women's organizations and self-help groups. Their presence underscored the collective effort towards promoting women's economic independence through skill development and entrepreneurship. The inauguration of the valedictory function symbolized a significant step in empowering women in the Doda district and promoting their economic independence. Through skill development initiatives like this, women are equipped to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors, thereby contributing to the overall socio-economic progress of the region.
