| Gurj Division organize health awareness camp for women | | |
JAMMU- SEPT-20- To create awareness among the women folk on various health aspects, Gurj Division organized a week- long health camp at Bani, a remote and far flung area of Kathua district.
Earlier, the division had organized a similar awareness health camp at Machhedi, which had evoked great response.
The main objective of holding the camp is to spread awareness about basics of woman’s health so that both women and young girls of the area could lead healthier lives. During the camp, health related issues like pregnancy, safety precautions during delivery, breast -feeding, nutrition, immunization, sex education including awareness on AIDA and its prevention and the evils of female feticides would be covered.
Lady Medical Officers and lady nurses of the Army Medical Corps from the Gurj Division are conducting the camp.
