| Prema Cariappa urged to encourage J&K NGO’s | | |

Jammu, Feb 20-Gandhian Workers delegation led by S.P. Verma today called on Prema Cariappa-Chairperson Central Social Welfare Board in the Union capital and apprised her about the prevailing scenario under social sector.
The delegation impressed the need for encouraging the local NGO’s of the state under the umbrella of all welfare schemes and programs of Central Social Welfare Board as the state has been facing militancy for the last about two decades. During deliberations some points of vital importance were discussed.
While welcoming Prema Cariappa Dr Ashvini Jojra founder President SAHYOG INDIA- Prerna Institute of Rehabilitation and Research extended invitation to her to visit the border area of the J&K State to gather the real picture of the ruralities in general and of the women and child in particular. Cariappa appreciated the suggestions and innovations discussed during meeting and expressed her satisfaction that all the points discussed will help to chalk out future planning/ strategies with result-oriented implementation.
