Samba police produces challan against accused in Arti murder case

SAMBA, Jan 29: Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh, Police has produced challan in the court of law against murder accused husband " Gurdeep Singh" of Nandpur & one female accused of Ferozepur (Punjab) in Arti murder case of Nandpur, Police Station Ramgarh, district Samba.
On 27.10.2023, vide DDR No. 15 dated 27.10.2023, inquest u/s 174 CrPC was initiated into the death of deceased namely Arti Devi w/o Gurdeep Singh r/o Nandpur tehsil Ramgarh district Samba to ascertain the actual cause of her death. Police conducted the inquest proceedings in highly professional manner, got conducted post -mortem through board of doctors, collected evidence and converted inquest into a murder case u/s 302/109 IPC in which main accused husband of the deceased namely Gurdeep Singh s/o Raj Kumar r/o Nandpur, tehsil Ramgarh, district Samba and one more female accused from Ferozepur (Punjab) were arrested. The motive behind committing murder was the intention of the accused husband to eliminate his wife to pave way for his second marriage with his beloved with whom he had illicit affair.
Investigating Officer has concluded the investigation as challan as offence has been proved against the accused and filed the chargesheet in the court of law today for judicial determination.
