J&K Bank's CSR Initiative Empowers Women Across 10 Districts

JAMMU, Jan 29: In a remarkable milestone, J&K Bank, in collaboration with Live for Others - Being Helpful Foundation, celebrates the success of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, "Mission R-SAP (Remove Shyness Apply Pads)." This groundbreaking project focuses on raising menstrual hygiene awareness and has now made a significant impact across 10 districts in Jammu & Kashmir.
500,000 Sanitary Napkins Distributed: The initiative has successfully distributed 500,000 sanitary napkins to women across all 20 districts in Jammu & Kashmir, breaking taboos and promoting menstrual hygiene.
100 Awareness Seminars: Over 100 awareness seminars have been conducted, reaching 50,000 individuals and fostering a positive change in attitudes toward menstruation.
Kulgam Completes Mission: Kulgam becomes the 10th district to complete "Mission R-SAP," witnessing the distribution of over 25,000 sanitary napkins and hosting five impactful awareness lectures.
Educational Institutions Involved: Seminars were conducted in various government and private schools, including Shining Star English Medium School, Islamia Model Public School Hablishi, Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Yaripora, Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Puhlu, and Govt. Girls Model Hr. Sec. School in Kulgam.
The seminars, led by resource persons Ayesha, Hafsa, and Babita, reached more than 2500 people and aimed at dismantling stigmas surrounding menstruation. The initiative is not only promoting menstrual hygiene but is also empowering women with knowledge and breaking down societal barriers.
Vishal Singh, Co-Director & COO of LFO-BHF, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative's progress and eagerly anticipates its expansion to other districts. The dedicated team is working diligently on implementing the program across the entire region.
LFO-BHF extends gratitude to the Director School Education Kashmir, C.E.O Kulgam, and the Principals of all participating schools. Special thanks were given to J&K Bank for organizing this impactful activity through their CSR fund, as acknowledged by Ms. Urfee, Vice-President, Kashmir Province.
