GDC Ramnagar successfully concludes three-week programme

RAMNAGAR, Jan 30: As part of the ongoing Azadi ka Amrit Kaal celebrations and in alignment with the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan towards achieving Viksit Bharat by 2047, the National Council for Rural Development (NCORD) and Viksit Bharat cell, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the College under the guidance of Principal Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, has successfully concluded a three-week awareness program titled "Yuva Shakti ki Nashamukti se Viksit Bharat Tak." The program was launched in commemoration of National Youth Day dedicated to Swami Vivekananda, and it aimed at channelizing the energy of the youth towards constructive activities and fostering a drug-free environment.
Distinguished individuals such as Dr. Pankaj Sharma, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Pandit, Prof. Ritika Mahajan, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Parveen Sharma, and Prof. Aditya Sharma served as resource persons throughout the three weeks, guiding students on various aspects of youth empowerment, drug de-addiction, and the vision of a developed India.
In his message, Principal Dr. Bhavnaish Chand applauded the collaborative efforts of NCORD, Viksit Bharat cell, and IQAC for initiating a timely and crucial program. He emphasized that a drug-free youth, with a clear sense of purpose, is vital for realizing the dream of a developed India by 2047.
The three-week initiative included class-to-class orientations, screenings of movies on Nasha Mukti and Viksit Bharat, sample surveys, and door-to-door awareness campaigns. Students actively participated in different activities, gaining valuable insights into the power of youth, the importance of drug de-addiction, and the commitment to a developed India.
During the valedictory ceremony, Dr. Sham Singh, Convener of NCORD cell, welcomed attendees and highlighted the significance of the program. Students shared their feedback, pledging to stay away from addictions and spreading awareness about the perils of substance abuse.
Additionally, in accordance with the directives from the Higher Education Department, the college observed two minutes of silence at 11:00 am to honor the martyrs, an event attended by all students and staff.
