Jammu, Feb 1: A woman was allegedly raped by two men on the pretext of offering her a job. The incident took place in Nagrota area here.
The police said that the woman was approached by the two men, who offered her a job as a maid. They called her to their home for an interview.
Once the woman reached their home, the two men allegedly raped her. The woman later filed a complaint with the police.
The police registered a case and arrested both accused. The accused were identified as Suraj Kumar and Shiva. Both accused are originally from Chhattisgarh.
"We have registered a case and arrested both accused. We are investigating the matter further," a Police officer said.
He said that a FIR 38/2024 U/S 376/IPC has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and both the accused are in custody. |
