Jammu, Feb 6: P.G. Department of Commerce organized an insightful field visit to J&K Bank (Town Hall Branch) on February 6th, 2024, exclusively for the students of M Comfourth semester. The visit aimed at providing the students with a practical understanding of financial operations and management.
Under the guidance of Mr. Rakesh Gupta, Branch Head, J&K Bank (Town Hall), students had the opportunity to interact with industry professionals, which delve into various facets of banking & finance, gaining firsthand experience in areas such as investment banking, risk management, credit analysis and financial advisory services. The hands-on-experience provides a unique opportunity for the students to bridge the gap between theoretical class learning and real world applications in the dynamic field of finance enhancing their understanding of the subjects. Mr. Rakesh Gupta expressed his enthusiasm for the field study of the students and feel delighted to nurture the next generation of finance professionals. Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, Head of the Department congratulated the students and emphasized the significance of such initiatives in preparing students for successful careers in finance. This field study programme not only compliments our rigorous academic curriculum but also equips our students with the practical skill and insights necessary to thrive in today’s competitive financial landscape.
