Jammu, Feb 9: Dr. Sunil Gupta-IPS, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range Rajouri visited District Poonch accompanied by Shri Yougal Manhas, SSP Poonch welcomed the officer and appraised him of the present security scenario of District. Later DIG RP range paid a visit to PS Surankote and working of police station and also inspected the CCTNS Lab, Malkhana, Jawan barracks and other units of Police Station Surankote.
Necessary instructions were imparted to Supervisory Officer/SHO for time bound disposal of all pending cases without compromising the quality of investigation and stressed to pay special attention on Cyber Crime Complaints, Non Cognizable Reports and the women related complaints thoroughly and directed to address these issues on top priority besides maintainance of police station record and quality investigation.
Later he also held introductory cum Crime Review meeting with all the Gazetted Officers of district at Conference Hall DPO Poonch.
During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held on the issues related to security point of view. The officer laid stress on the participating officers to personally ensure briefing/de-briefing to the security deployment and remain extra vigilant.
During the meeting cases registered under UAPA/NDPS, heinous crime, crime against women were specifically reviewed and discussed and stress was laid to make rigorous efforts to finalization of investigation of such cases on merits within stipulated time.
The officers were also directed to keep a close liaison among security forces and other sister agencies working in the district for better coordination and synergy. Among others meeting was attended by Shri Mushim Ahmed Addl. SP Poonch, Shri Hamid Ali Bandey Dy.SP PC Surankote, Shri Bupinder Kumar SDPO Mendhar, Shri Pankaj Sudoon Dy.SP DAR Poonch, Shri Ahjaz Ahmed Dy.SP (Ops) Poonch.
